Sport & Community Facilities

The City of Airdrie has an abundance of community facilities which meet a wide range of interests. Airdrie's amenities include a new library and a Regional Recreation Complex equipped with twin ice surfaces and a gymnastics club. The new East Lake Recreation and Wellness Centre has five pools and a state of the art aerobics/weight training facility.

Airdrie is also home to a world class BMX track. With over 1400 feet of track, three paved corners and night lights it is easy to see why Airdrie's BMX track is rated one of the top 10 in North America.

Airdrie's country atmosphere is enhanced by over 465 acres of parkland space and 40 km of meandering paved pathways located throughout the city.

Centre stage is occupied by Nose Creek Park, a 40-acre oasis in the heart of the downtown. An amphitheatre, picnic tables, shelter and nature trails make this a natural spot for many community events. Nose Creek Park is also home to the City's Skate Park.
