Fletcher Park, in northwest Airdrie, is home to one of the largest and most successful BMX (bicycle moto-cross) race tracks in all of Canada.
Airdrie BMX club has built a quick-start, fast-flying, high-banking, hard dirt race track with as many different challenges as one could pack into a few acres with a hundred truck loads of dirt. The club will set each rider on an individual race level; combine up to seven other riders on the same level; and send kids of all ages, four to sixty-four, male and female, on a wild ride over some of the best bumps and jumps.
With a season that runs from March to September; racing on Wednesday and Friday evenings; coaching on Mondays and Thursday; open track Tuesday; and the occasional weekend fun, all riders definitely get the opportunity to improve their skills and have as much fun as possible.
Airdrie BMX has a real drive to make their track the best it can be and always includes the special measures for safety that a parent or rider would want to see in a track.
