FCSS Program Awards Funding for 2010
At their regular meeting on Monday, December 7, 2009, Airdrie City Council endorsed the recommendation of the Community Services Advisory Board to allocate $664,434 to the Family and Community Support Services programs. Six of the 10 Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) preventative programs will receive increased funding in 2010 as compared to previous years.

City of Airdrie Installs Cutting-Edge Wireless Network System
The City of Airdrie has installed a mobile mesh wireless network, the first successful install of its kind in Canada. This new initiative enables employees with a laptop and wireless repeater to connect from five kilometres away with a broadband network connection back to the City of Airdrie network, allowing mobile City employees, such as Municipal Enforcement, to better service residents as they can access more information, more efficiently, right from their vehicles.
