Earth Hour is Saturday March 27, 2010
On March 27 at 8:30 pm, hundreds of millions of people around the world will turn off their lights for an hour to demand action on climate change. Be a part of this and take action. All across the provinces, Canadians are taking small steps to lessen their impact on the environment. You can join in too by simple acts from hanging your clothes to dry or taking transit to work. All small steps add up to huge changes for the better.

This is to confirm that there will not be any garbage schedule changes over Easter. Please continue to have your garbage out by 7AM.
Youth Environmental Stewardship Award
The Airdrie Environmental Advisory Board is seeking environmentally conscientious leaders within our community. We are looking for youth or youth groups who are presently working on a project related to the environment. Projects can involve a number of different environmental initiatives.

Recovered Bike Sales (May - September only)
In lieu of the weekend Bike sale/sales that the City previously provided, Environmental Services are now selling these "recovered" Bikes at the Recycle Depot during regular Depot Hours. (May-September only)
