The Airdrie Centennial Committee has been hard at work documenting Airdrie’s history, planning events and making sure
you know about it!

To help honour Airdrie’s Centennial, the Committee is looking for all individuals with any skills or talents.

Current Opportunities

Events and Projects: Like to plan a good party? From helping out that day to working on the planning of the event, the events committee is looking for anyone interested in planning and putting on a few celebration events throughout the city.

The Centennial Committee also working on several legacy and art projects.  Come and help out plan and coordinate these projects.

History: Several historical projects are underway, including a history book, brochures and a walking tour. If you like research and history, this is the committee for you.

Marketing and Media: Do you like marketing and working with the media? We are working hard to ensure everyone knows about Airdrie’s Centennial! Come join our group to help promote Airdrie’s Centennial.

Committee Purpose

The Airdrie Centennial Committee 2009 will guide the collaborative efforts of staff and community to plan, budget, identify and deliver centennial projects and celebration for Airdrie. This will build a strong Airdrie identity, increase community spirit and preserve Airdrie’s history for future generations.

Committee Goal

The goal of the Airdrie Centennial Committee 2009 is to collaboratively create a legacy, preserve the past and to celebrate Airdrie’s 100 years.
